How to Report a Tenant Insurance Claim
If you believe your stored belongings have been damaged or stolen, contact your insurance provider promptly. MiniCo policyholders can call 800-528-1056 for help with the claims process. If another insurer covers your belongings, report the claim to that company.
Gather useful information
Have your name, contact information, facility address, unit number and policy or certificate information available. Record when you discovered the damage and describe what happened as accurately as you can.
Document the belongings
When it is safe to do so, take photographs and prepare a list of affected items. Keep available receipts, serial numbers and other records that help identify the property. Follow the insurer’s instructions about preserving damaged items and submitting documents.
Let the facility know
Notify our office at 480-940-0111 about the incident so we can address facility-related questions. Reporting an incident to the office does not replace reporting a claim to your insurer.
Follow up with the insurer
The insurer will explain the next steps and evaluate the claim under the applicable policy. Keep a record of your claim number and communications. Coverage and payment are determined by the policy and the facts of the claim.
